How to Size a Solar Generator for a Home in Nigeria

Start by deciding what must stay on during an outage. A few lights, fans, a router and phone charging are a different design from a home that also expects refrigeration, pumps or air conditioning.
Make an essential-load list
Write down appliance name, quantity, rated running watts and hours per day. Mark the ones used at night. If a device is optional during an outage, keep it separate so a smaller system can be assessed honestly.
Check what runs at once
The combined rating of everything you own is not necessarily the peak load. Estimate the highest group of appliances likely to operate together. A pump or fridge also needs its starting demand checked, even if its normal running watts appear modest.
Calculate daily energy and storage
For each appliance, multiply watts by daily hours and add the results. Review how much energy is needed after sunset. Battery nameplate capacity is not wholly available at the socket because usable depth of discharge and conversion efficiency matter. Treat a recommendation as a starting point

That depends on the selected model and actual appliances. Heavy and motor-driven loads require individual assessment.
Does 1,024 Wh mean one hour at 1,024 W?
Nameplate watt-hours are not the same as delivered socket energy. Conversion losses, usable battery capacity and appliance demand affect runtime.
